When the first rays of morning sunlight are peering out from behind Mount Seceda, our guests are already looking forward to their excursion with our personal hiking guide. Bulla in summer is really amazing. The cool mountain breeze, the wonderful views, the unspoilt setting – far from the usual tourist beat. Who can afford such luxury when on holiday?
Bulla is a little hamlet in the municipality of Castelrotto, and is part of the Alpe di Siusi tourist region. If you have a holiday here you can make the most of the natural surroundings, explore some beautiful places in the local area and get away from the heat, because Bulla is at 1500 metres and so a pleasant temperature in summer. The Alpe di Siusi with its unique alpine scenery offers lots of hiking options for every age during the summer months. A favourite destination is the viewing platform on Mount Bullaccia, which overlooks Castelrotto, Siusi allo Sciliar and Bulla. The plus point? The Schnürlsteig trail from Bulla takes you straight up to Mount Bullaccia.
Castelrotto is one of South Tyrol’s most popular tourist destinations in summer and is currently listed as one of “the most beautiful villages in Italy“. The Alpe di Marinzen hiking area is ideal for families with children, and offers a fantastic view of Castelrotto with its busy village life. There’s a little petting zoo with goats and rabbits and a playground for the kids to have fun.
Our guests particularly like the fact that can set off on e-bike rides straight from our hotel. You can get to the Alpe di Siusi by e-bike in just 20 minutes, and also explore some of the lovely places in the area. The ride from Lake Fiè to the Tuff mountain hut is always worth the effort, and can be followed by a refreshing dip in the lake. E-bikes are available for hire on site.
The Pana Raida adventure trail on Monte Pana in the Val Gardena is a wonderful place for younger guests. The kids can play and interact with the various wooden attractions. There’s also plenty of water for them to splash around.
Would you like to climb to the top of a mountain and gaze over the valley below? There are many via ferrata routes in the Val Gardena, at various levels of difficulty. Our hiking guide will be happy to give you some useful advice. A popular destination is the Cir Group, both at sunrise and at sunset.
