Hurrah… let’s go! If you want to go tobogganing, you can borrow our Bulla Gin sledges, and take our early-morning shuttle service straight to the Rasciesa funicular. The little red train will take you up to the Rasciesa mountain hut, from where you can sledge downhill. And you don’t have to limit yourself to just one descent, because your ticket is valid for the whole day.
A 360-degree view of the mountains is more special than rare. You get this sort of panorama from the Rasciesa mountain hut. It takes only 60 minutes to get to the viewing platform, from which you can enjoy a stunning vista and breathe in the crisp mountain air.
Rasciesa is not the only place to offer such splendid scenic views, there are also many such viewpoints up on the Alpe di Siusi.
The largest plateau in Europe extends from Mount Pana to Compaccio. Gazing down on Ortisei, Siusi allo Sciliar, Castelrotto and Bolzano during a winter hike is an experience you will treasure for a very long time. The Alpe di Siusi is a real winter paradise for snowshoe hiking. Thanks to social media, Sassolungo and Sassopiatto are now famous all over the world, proudly displaying their charms.
The alpine villages in our area are always well worth a visit. The little Christmas markets in December have a lovely atmosphere – and a steaming cup of mulled wine will always warm the heart, just like the thought of Christmas! Castelrotto has recently been listed as one of the “most beautiful villages in Italy“. It’s a very special farming village and lovely to visit in summer or winter.
